Laracon AU 2023 is a wrap!

Hello!

I just wanted to reach out to say a very big thank you to everybody for making the return from a four-year break the most incredible Laracon AU experience we've had to date!

We had a terrific lineup of speakers from Germany, UK, NZ, US, Portugal, as well as right around Australia, but more than that, we had people attend the conference from all around the world, including visitors from Scotland, Japan, Belgium, and Egypt.

Despite... you know... rearing its ugly head again, we had a 47% increase in attendance over 2019 🤯 - we're looking at a bigger venue for 2024 (and making sure that everybody that attends has access to whatever After Dark happens to be!).

On the subject of Laracon AU 2023, we've published all the photos from the event on Flickr. We've published Jess Archer's excellent introduction to Laravel Pulse - the free application insights, performance, and usage tool for Laravel - on our YouTube channel.

But Michael, there were 17 talks over two days!

The rest of the videos will be published on our channel in the coming weeks - you can subscribe directly, or keep an eye on LinkedIn and Twitter for announcements.

A truly big shoutout to all of our sponsors for this year without whom the event is simply not possible!

On the subject of 2024, I'm very excited to say that we will be returning and I'm thrilled to welcome Hatchet on board as our Platinum partner for next year. They will enable us to hit the ground running toward what I hope will be a bigger and better event.

I've got several site visits across multiple cities booked in over the next few weeks before Christmas, and will be announcing dates and location in January.

We hope you all had a quacking time! A massive shoutout to Michael, his team, and the sponsors for bringing this all together, they have done a fantastic job this year. We hope you all enjoyed the event, our team certainly did.

For Hatchet, sponsoring next year's event ensures we can do it all over again as it's you, the community, contributing to and leveraging the Laravel framework which has allowed us to create some incredible applications, so thank you. We hope you enjoy the upcoming holiday period, and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.

- Daniel and the team at Hatchet

I'm also excited to welcome back Nucleus - who did a simply outstanding job branding our event this year - as well as Maxo and Init Development Studios.

If you or your company are interested in joining our group of terrific sponsors for 2024, please email sponsors@laracon.au - I'd love to chat with you!

So on that note, have a very safe and happy holiday period, enjoy a rest from a year of hard work, and I'll speak to you again in January!

Cheers,

Michael
